|Jaap Gordijn is an associate professor at the Department of Computer Science, Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam and has extensive experience in consultancy and business development. He is the Chief Executive Officer of TVE, leading sales and consultancy management.
Dr. Jaap Gordijn is associate professor at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Computer Science department. His research focusses on the design process of commercial electronic services (e.g. NetFlix or Spotify). He published over 120 scientific papers at international conferences, workshops, and journals. In addition to his academic career, he also has extensive experience in industry. He has worked for Bakkenist Management Consultants, Deloitte & Touche, and the Internet Business Solution Group of Cisco Systems (IBSG). This group advises the Fortune 500 companies worldwide regarding their e-business strategy. Jaap holds a PhD degree from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, Computer Science, a MSc/BSc degree in Information Science, University of Tilburg, Economics Faculty, and BSc degree in Technical Computer Science. During his consultancy practice, he acted as business developer, and advised many starting companies, but also multi-nationals, and specifically networks of enterprises. His current interest is in the digital content industry and Fintech. Jaap is advisor of Intellectual Music Property Societies in The Netherlands, and works with banks to develop innovative banking services based on blockchain technology.
|Dan Ionita is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Twente. He is specialized in modelling and risk assessment of information systems. He is the Chief Technical Officer of TVE, leading software development and technology management.
Dan is currently wrapping up his PhD thesis on information security risk assessment of socio-technical systems. He has a BSc in electrical engineering and management, an MSc in Information Systems Engineering. He has extended e3value with techniques for fraud assessment. His interests revolve around the technical side of computer science, both hardware and software. Dan is skilled in information systems design (databases, networking and security) and hopes to apply these skills towards bringing what he sees as promising research results to the market. He is particularly interested in developing usable tooling that takes full advantage of the Web 2.0 paradigm. Dan has previously worked in tech support (2010), translation of technical documentation (2011), software developer (2012) and as teacher (2013)
|Roel Wieringa is Chair of Information Systems at the University of Twente. He has extensive experience working with companies to solve practical problems using design research. He is Chief Operations Officer at TVE, leading research & development, and managing courses.
Prof. Dr. Roel Wieringa is full professor of information systems at the University of Twente. He started his career as teacher of mathematics in Groningen, and after a period abroad as a teacher of mathematics in Zambia started teaching computer science at several universities before becoming assistant professor at the Vrije Universiteit, Amsterdam. He has been appointed at the University of Twente since 1998. Roel has an M.Sc. degree in mathematics from the State University of Groningen, an M.A. in philosophy from the University of Amsterdam, and a Ph.D. degree in computer science from the Free University of Amsterdam. He published over 400 articles in international journals, conferences and workshops, and has organized a large number of scientific events. He has been head of department of computer science at the University of Twente, scientific director of the SIKS research school, and member of the board of the Netherlands architecture forum for the digital world (NAF)
